Well, I had a 10 pound baby, lol. :) No one would have ever thought, myself and my doctor included although I must say that I gained 50 pounds with this guy. To make a short story, shorter, I went in a day before my due date for an induction, not necessary, but doctor said it was okay to do. My water was broken around noon, contractions started soon after. I got my epidural about 3:30 pm. I dialated quickly and felt pressure very shortly after the epidural was in place. I pushed for 17 minutes while laughing with my doctor and nurses because my doctor was doing a giddyup for the baby to come. He was apparently hog tied by his feet and hands by the umbilical cord and yet he came out quite quickly. The nurses immediately started making bets about how big he was! You know you had a "big one" when that happens, lol. He is still so precious to me though he was like a 3 month old. :) He just had his one month appointment and the boy is 14 pounds and 4 ounces and 24 inches long!! He is in 3- month clothing and size 2 diapers already! I can't believe it - he is such a big boy! His height and weight are both off the charts. He's a little snuggle bug. :)
I've been away for a long time it seems because of how crazy things became after the delivery. The day after we brought Isaiah home, my husband went into the emergency room you to have his appendix removed. I was besides myself. We were both out for the count. To top it off we moved less than 10 days after we got back from the hospital. Thank God for the wonderful friends and church family we have out here! We received meals for 2 whole weeks and didn't have to lift a finger to move. They continue to be a blessing to us. So we are still getting settled into our home and the transition of a new baby. Jemiah went back to teaching and Jaya to her preschool. Jemiah is also coaching the boys golf team and doing his master's program full time. Oh and hunting is starting and I'm destined to be a single mom though October. *Sigh*
So things are nuts around here! I do get my own craft room now - I'm so excited. I hope to get it set up and show everyone but I'm in no hurry. I'm taking things slow and enjoying my new baby boy! Blessings to you all!!
